Abstract
P326 Elastic Wave Modelling by an Integrated Finite Difference Method F.L. Hall* (Imperial College London) & Y. Wang (Imperial College London) SUMMARY We have developed a new finite difference method for modelling the elastic wave equation in the time domain based on integrating the elastic parameters. This new method has two attractive features. First we adopt the strategy of integrating the elastic parameters over a limited space as it is suitable for wave propagation modelling in the fractured media for which we use an equivalent media with the elastic coefficients averaged over a fractured space. Secondly this elastic parameters integration
