P336 Improved Computational Efficiency of a 3D Wide- Angle Acoustic Extrapolator D.A. Angus* (University of Bristol) & J.M. Kendall (University of Bristol) SUMMARY We examine the efficiency and accuracy of implementing an automated linear model interpolation scheme for a 3-D acoustic wide-angle one-way wave extrapolator. Examples are presented for both deterministic and stochastic acoustic velocity models. The specific examples considered are (i) a smoothly varying 3-D high velocity spherical inclusion within a homogeneous reference medium consisting a 20% and 100% velocity perturbation and (ii) a 2-D anisotropic (i.e. shaped-induced) random medium realization with maximum velocity perturbation of approximately ±10%.
