Downton (CGGVeritas) SUMMARY Spherical-wave reflection coefficients which are vital in modelling supercritical reflections are considerably more difficult to calculate than their plane-wave analogues. One approach to narrowing this gap is to assume that the incident spherical wave possesses a Rayleigh wavelet. This wavelet defined by only two parameters in the zero-phase case allows much of the numerical integration burden to be carried out analytically.
