Abstract
P356 Non-Linear AVO Inversion in a VTI Medium D. Nadri* (Curtin University of Technology) & B. Hartley (Curtin University of Technology) SUMMARY In a stack of transversely anisotropic layers with vertical axis of symmetry reflected P-waves are modeled as a function of elastic parameters such as P-wave and S-wave velocity density Thomsen’s parameters ( ) and layers thickness (model parameters) in frequency domain. Ruger Reflection and transmission equations (1996) in a VTI medium are used to calculate effective reflective coefficient. Ursin and Stovas (2006) traveltime equations for a VTI medium are used to calculate two way traveltime. An object oriented
