Abstract

We seek to reveal the impact of sensor parameters drift on image quality. Drift may derive from manufacturing tolerance or environmental temperature variation etc. The study composes of two parts: I) classical closed form discussion, including limiting benefits of inverse transfer function deconvolution. II) numerical synthesis of signals convoluting with sensor transfer function and the difference of input and output. Particular interest is placed on the wider range of damping value changes and the need of a tighter control of the specification. Both part I and II demonstrated significant impact on the signal integrity by parameter drifting as much as -10% to +30%, frequency content depending.
