Abstract

The polarisation effects are studied while saturating selected sandstone samples with brines of different cations. The real part of conductivity shows - as expected - a linear relation to the brine conductivity. The imaginary part of conductivity depends on the kind of cations in the brine with the strongest effect for sodium chloride. At higher concentration, a saturation is observed. <br>
