Probabilistic Technique of Lithology and Fluid Units Determination Based on Using Seismic Inversion Results

In the paper we consider probabilistic technique of lithology and fluid units determination, based on the Bayesian approach. The result of applying the technique is probabilistic volumes for lithology or fluid units. The use of results of accurate simultaneous stochastic seismic inversion ensures high potential of this technique. Suggested technique allow one to take into account an existing uncertainties, in particular, those caused by the inaccuracy of the mathematical model relating acoustic parameters and reservoir properties as well as uncertainties caused by non-uniqueness and inaccuracy of inversion results.
