Abstract

The surface-related multiple removal method applied in a 2D sense has proven to be successful on a large
number of data cases. It is becoming one of the standard tools, being applied by several companies. Although the
ideal implementation would be a full 3D version, the combination of acquisition parameters, data quality and
subsurface complexity determine the implementation that is appropriate for a specific dataset.
