This abstract describes the analysis of acquisition designs for a 3D marine survey with respect to the application
of 3D SRME. The key to the successful application of 3D SRME is to maximize the source- and receiver sampling
in the crossline direction (and thereby reducing the need for pre-stack interpolation of severely under-sampled
data), and to obtain sufficient crossline aperture in order to predict the characteristics of the multiples in the
crossline direction.
