Prestack poststack 3D Multiple Prediction

Abstract
Using stacking velocities to generate hyperbolic prestack arrivals from poststack data, a useful and truly 3D surface-related multiple prediction is made for a stacked 3D data volume. In its small-aperture limit the method reduces to autoconvolution of each stacked trace with itself.
