Abstract

A complex water bottom often generates multiples that consist of specular and nonspecular parts. Conventional 2D surface
related multiple elimination (SRME) generally predicts the specular part of the multiples well while the nonspecular part
(consisting of diffractions) is often not adequately predicted.
