Abstract
Velocity analysis comprises one of the pillars of data processing. Poor quality velocity
analysis usually degrades velocity interpretation resulting in poor velocity fields and less than
optimal data processing results. For example, a poorly interpreted velocity field may result in
failure to optimally stack the data with the loss of valuable signal and subsequent
mispositioning when the data are imaged.
