Our industry cannot halt the erosion of corporate memory so we must turn our data into useful<br>knowledge for its needs. The facts are alarming: (1) during the past decade the work force in<br>the global energy industry has decreased sharply; (2) Traditional university graduate and postgraduate<br>enrollment in energy fields of geoscience and engineering have fallen; and (3)<br>College curricula requirements have become so rigid that there is little room for<br>multidiscipline training.
