Abstract
There are several late Cretaceous oilfields in northwest Oman which are characterised by low permeability, chalky reservoirs with long entry heights (5-40m) and long transition zones (5- 20m). Two of these fields are considered to be combined structural-stratigraphic traps, in which faults provide the lateral seal in the up-dip direction.
