Abstract

Using a new probabilistic fault reservoir modeling tool we have conducted studies on a set of 5 African rift basin prospects. The modeling technique is based on a representation of the fault and reservoirs as a set of polynomial equations. Reservoirs & seals are described via thickness & Vshale .The fault geometry is defined by its length, maximum throw (magnitude & position), dip, strike and damage zone width.
