Abstract
Capillary forces govern oil flow in the porous medium. Wettability of the rock determines efficiency of oil displacement by injection agents. But, due to lack of reservoir data, complexity of the physical process and traditional simplistic simulation approach the role of capillary effects and zone rock properties is often neglected. This leads to inaccuracy in modelling reservoir sweep and oil displacement in heterogeneous reservoirs.
