Geology of the Miocene Lower Rudeis Deepwater Sandstone Reservoir, Gulf of Suez

The lower Rudeis deep water sandstone lies within the subsurface of the central Gulf of Suez, Egypt, and is a significant reservoir at July Field. It was deposited during a major period of tectonic subsidence and eustatic sea level rise. As such, it is an interesting end member in the myriad world of deep water reservoirs.
