Hybrid MPFA-Method with Application to Field Simulations

For quadrilateral grids the multipoint flux-approximation (MPFA) method may be simplified to a two-point flux-approximation (TPFA) method by neglecting off-diagonal terms in a tensor which embodies the permeability and the geometry of the grid. Combining MPFA and TPFA results in a hybrid method which is faster than the full MPFA method.
