Capturing Effective Behaviour of Capillary Influenced Flow

This paper presents a study of porous media flow in which capillary forces have a significant impact. The principal objectives of the work are to improve understanding of the influence of viscous and capillary forces on displacement processes and to develop an upscaling method to account for the effect of small-scale (cm) contrasts in capillary pressure.
