Abstract
A new method for the extraction of the fundamental rock properties expressed by Lamé's parameters, Lamé's constant (λ) and shear rigidity (μ), from pre-stack seismic data is proposed. This new method should be more stable and less ambiguous than the method currently used to extract these parameters.
