Evidence for a critical crust

We present evidente that the Earth's trust is a critical system caused by the organisation of fluid-saturated stress-aligned microcracks. A critical crust has profound implications for low-level rock deformation and phenomena such as reservoir description and the build up of stress before earthquakes. Following papers will discuss particular implications and applications.
