Abstract

The efficiency of hydraulic fractures largely determines the economics of tight gas sand reservoirs. Having a reliable method to directly measure hydraulic fracture geometry / orientation and to assess the quality of the created fractures as permeable pathways, allows field engineers to improve cornpletion designs and development strategies for effectave drainage of these reservoirs.
