Abstract

Summary

In this paper we shall present a number of processing steps that can be applied to improve the low-frequency signal-to-noise ratio such that the effects of the ghosts are taken into consideration in a consistent manner between the observed and modeled data. The discussion will include examples from wide azimuth marine streamer data (WAZ) and ocean bottom node (OBN) data sets and the impact these steps have on the FWI results.
