Application of shallow geophysics to engineering and environmetnal site characterisation in Ireland

Over the last fifteen years there has been a marked increase world-wide in the application of geophysical techniques to the investigation of engineering and environmentaI problems. Use in ground investigation in lreland has also increased over the same period, with geophysical surveys being carried out on a number of infrastructural and construction related projects.
