Progress project: geophysical prospection, research and selective subsoil excavation

The expansion of urban areas and the extensive civil engineering activities seriously menace the buried cultural heritage. In this context, the PROGRESS project aims are the evaluation of the possibilities of application of the geophysical prospecting in urban areas, where fast, costeffective and not destructive actions are necessary. Besides to favour the conservation of the archaeological heritage, the project attempts to offer an aid to the urbanistic design and planning.
