Abstract
One of the longest branches of environmentaI geophysics application is the preservation of nation heritage. Numerous digital techniques developed for exploration directed to urban planning can aIso be applied to investigations of historic buildings. In identifying near-surface Iayers containing objects of previous civiIizations, various sophisticated geophysical methods are used. In the paper, appIication of geophysics in quantification of possibIe problems necessary to be carried out in order to get an archaeological map of some locality is discussed (Komatina S., 1996). Finally, examples of archaeogeophysicaI exploration at Divostin and Varvarin Iocalities (Serbia, Yugoslavia) are presented (Fig. I).
