Abstract

Vanishing resources of high quality groundwater result in the need for careful hydrogeological modelling as a help to prevent overpumping and pollution. Beside the storage capacity the most important parameter for this modelling is the hydraulic conductivity. The yield of well fields as well as the spread of contaminants is governed by this quanity.
