Abstract
Since the first discovery in the late 1950s, over 20 oil and gas fields havebeen discovered in the north-western part of the Moldavian Platform. Hydrocarbons are reservoired mainly in the Middie-Upper Miocene (Badenian and Sarmatian) deposits.
