f AVA and Residual Moveout

It is well known that residual moveout can cause large errors in the estimate of amplitude versus angle (AVA) attributes, and in particular in the estimate of gradients. This paper illustrates the problem and proposes two complementary approaches to reducing the effect. Synthetic data are used to assess the effectiveness of these methods, which have also been applied to real data.
