Abstract

In many VSP or crosswell datasets, tube waves are the major source of coherent noise, leading to difficulty in separation of the reflected wavefield. A variety of techniques has been developed for suppressing the direct tube wave, either based on wavenumber-frequency, polarization or median filtering.
