Abstract

Tha Adria Plate is generally considered a wide carbonate platform of principalley Mesozoic age (but started in Late Paleozoic age) covering an original African promontory. From a Triassic rifting phase, this promontory began its separation from megaplate and its northward migration and anticlockwise rotation (Finetti, 84).
