f Filtration Flow Control in Oil Formation by Gel-Forming Systems

Physico-chemical control of filtration flows in the injected water is a promising EOR method for oil fields developed by flooding. To increase conformance in heterogeneous formations physico-chemical control of flows is performed by selective isolation, blocking of well drainaged high permeable zones. These zones are a drowing source of overflooding in production wells. One can carry out zone blocking by gels with controled gelation time.
