f 4D, 3C Seismology and Dynamic Reservoir Characterization - a Geophysical Renaissance

Time-lapse multicomponent (4-D, 3-C) seismic surveying is a technology that allows us to see changes in the dynamic properties of the reservoir. These dynamic changes are key to the prediction of reservoir performance and the design of improved recovery schemes. Seismic detection of dynamic reservoir properties (including fluid state, distribution of fluid, pressure, and permeability) in spare and time is key to improved reservoir recovery.
