Abstract

The principal system of reservoirs containing commercial accumulations of oil and gas in the Baku Archipelago is the Productive Unit of Middle Pliocene age. In the Sangachaly-deniz, Duvanny-deniz, Khara-Zire, Bulla-deniz, Alaty-deniz, Garasu anticlinal trend, large oil and gas pools occur in association with Horizon VII, and in part, with Horizon VIII of the Unit.
