Abstract

In the existing approaches for the determination of background velocity and reflectivity from seismic data, the immersion of the acquisition device is neglected before the wavelength of the source signal. Unfortunately, in some applications, like in Very High Resolution seismic used for studying the first meters of the seabottom, these assumptions are very rough. The immersion, or more precisely a parametrisation of the immersion, has to be retrieved and taken into account. We develop here a succession of processing based on a MBTT approach to interpret data in which immersion and wavelength of the source signal have the same order of magnitude.
