Abstract
Amplitude preserved processing is gaining importance for both stratigraphic and structural imaging. Existing data processing tools need to be re-evaluated for their suitability in an amplitude preserved processing, flow. Here, we evaluate some operational multiple attenuation methods, for both their signal amplitude preservation and multiple attenuation abilities, in the prestack data domain and in the image domain after amplitude preserved prestack depth migration/inversion.
