f Cost-Effective Technique of 3D Seismic Prospecting Based on Circular Profiling (CP)

A technique of seismic acquisition, processing and interpretation of CP, data is considered with the objectives of near-hole area study, low amplitude structure and tectonic discontinuity mapping, oil and gas fields development control. Specific merits of CP are considered including capability to study areas not available from the surface, remove effects of inhomogeneities of upper part of a section, and study of anisotropy together with high performance, flexibility and cost effectiveness.
