f The Integrated Interpretation of Seismic and High Resolution Aeromagnetic Data in Mature Basins - the East Irish Sea Basin

A considerable coverage of High Resolution Aeromagnetic (HRA) data has been acquired around the UKCS since 1992, mostly in niature basis areas. At present the true interpretational value of HRA data in mature (and immature) hydrocarbon basins has yet to be realised. British Gas Exploration and Production (BGE&P) and British Gas Research and Technology (BG R&T) have ondertaken a thorough integration of seismic and HRA data to evaluate HRA data for hydrocarbon exploration and to establish a broad methodology for joint IRA-seismic interpretation.
