Abstract
The surface-related multiple elimination method, based on the work of Berkhout (1982) and described as a data adaptive procedure by Verschuur et al. (1992), has been proven to produce very good results, but is rather costly. Therefore, a more efficient alternative has been developed that still produces the same high quality output.
