f 3D Attenuation of Targeted Multiples with a Pattern Recognition Technique

This paper aims at removing only that multiple energy associated with a specified primary event and generated by an identified mechanism. The paper describes a 3-D implementation of a pattern recognition technique. It also illustrates the technique when targeting multiples other than the peg legs generated by a flat sea floor.
