f A Global Approach to Depth Velocity Determination - a High Productivity Tool

We describe a global approach to subsurface model building where velocities and horizon depths are soved simultaneousIy. This approach is based on finding the correct depth velocity model to yield globally flat CRP migrated gathers for all horizons coincidentally. The main advantages of this method are that it demands minimal manual intervention, is less labor intensive, and provides more accurate results than other interval velocity determination methods.
