Abstract
Previous measurements of attenuation from crosshole data at the Imperial College borehole test site in Northumberland, England, have measured an average Q of 20 over the depth range 50-72 m (Portsmouth et al, 1993). Laboratory measurements of Q have shown a significant variation of Q with lithology. A new high resolution crosshole dataset has been acquired to measure any variations of Q with lithology at crosshole Frequencies and to study the horizontal crosshole wave propagation in detail.
