Abstract

We shall present some evidence of diffracted waves recorded during a hydraulic fracturing experiment, and modelling results to demonstrate that it is possible to estimate the site of hydraulic fractures. The field experiment has been described in details by Meadows and Wintersteen (1994, M&W).
