Abstract
The attenuation dispersion of Love waves for a simple symmetric homogenous three layered linear elastic model has been studied by a number of authors (for a summary see e.g. Li et al., 1995). Mathematically, the attenuation is accounted by allowing the elastic modules to be a complex function of frequency.
