Abstract
For subsurface detection applications, resistivity techniques are well established and have been used extensively in a variety of standard forms (Ward 1990). The recent development of automatic multiplexed systems is further increasing the flexibility and power of the method in that a large number and range of measurements can now be obtained over a survey area (Griffiths et al. 1990; Dahlin 1993): indeed, the entire nature of the data-set can be entirely different to the restricted form collected when using any one of the 'standard ' probe arrays along a single survey fine.
