Abstract

The success of the Marmousi model showed the value of a publicly available dataset for testing and comparing different processing schemes. However, the Marmousi data consists of a 2-D live, while the trend in the industry is towards 3-D seismics. We have realized a high quality physical modeling facility that can produce a full 3-D dataset with any desired shooting geometry.
