Abstract
The use of multisource / muitistreamer configurations in marine 3D seismic acquisitions is today a standard in the industry. Recently, a large 3D survey was shot in the North Sea where the multielement configuration consisted of 3 seismic vessels with a total of 10 streamers and 2 sources. (Acquisition performed by PGS.) This was the first survey worldwide using this type of configuration. Details of the configuration are given in Figure 1.
