Abstract
The ultimate goals of research in computational geomechanics are: (i) to help geologists and geophysicists in understanding the complex geological phenomena and processes occurring in the subsurface, and (ii) in making better designs for man-made constructions like well fields, mines, tunnels, etcetera.
