Abstract

Accurate well log preparation is of utmost importance to create detailed subsurface rnodels needed for studying multi-offset seismic responses in seismostratigraphic studies. In this Study we take into account detailed (25 cm depth step size) elastic parameter changes in the reservoir interval, due to fluid fill substitutions. The ultimate goal of this study is the analysis of differences in the multi-offset seismic responses of potential fluid (water, oil or gas) filled reservoir changes in order to evaluate the possibility to distinguish between these situations from real (observed) seismic CMP data and their Amplitude Versus Offset (AVO) attributes.
