f Cenozoic Uplift and Subsidence Patterns in the Central and Northern North Sea

The main objective of our presentation is to demonstrate that tectonic events, shifts in provenance areas and corresponding variations in mineralogical composition of the sediments are key factors for the onderstanding of the sequence development in the Central and Northern North Sea. The post-Danian Cenozoic succesion is studied using the concepts of sequence stratigraphy.
